+ Sponsorship Sales

Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, the Sponsorship Sales Director will work closely with the marketing and management team to successfully research, identify, recruit and secure sponsors for various events and portfolios of events. This role requires strategy, teamwork, ingenuity, and creativity. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Execute upon a comprehensive sponsorship sales marketing plan
  • Research new prospects, make initial sales contact, pitch sponsorship programs and close sponsorship commitments
  • Maintain pipeline information and consistent status reports
  • Develop knowledge of our company culture and mission

Must Haves:

  • Event sponsorship sales experience of 5+ years

+ Event Programming

Forefront is seeking an experienced Event Programmer to help construct and manage small and large events. Events occur primarily in Austin, Texas, but there are other locations nationwide. A successful candidate will be extremely organized and be able to manage the logistics of multiple events simultaneously. Responsibilities for the Event Programmer begin once the event has been ideated through the review of event success: Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Planning unique event aspects such as entertainment (music, performers, speakers) and special features
  • Owning key deliverables such as runs of show, staffing for runs of show and seating charts
  • Maintaining a working relationship with vendors and venues
  • Staying under budget while planning event specifications
  • Issuing invoices and collecting payments in a timely manner, and creating comprehensive and readable financial reports
  • Managing and overseeing events on the day of, including problem-solving, welcoming guests, directing event set-up, and communicating with staff
  • Communicating with marketing team to create effective advertisements for each event

Must Haves:

  • Previous event programming experience of 5+ years
  • Strong proactivity and organization
  • Understand the complex needs of different events, and diverse clients
  • Ability to anticipate and planning for possible different scenarios

Internships

Forefront Networks is offering challenging part-time paid internships for stand-out students. Openings currently exist for Graphic Design and Digital Media internships. The objectives of the internship program are to:

  • Provide talented students with challenging, real-world experience at a quickly growing company
  • Provide students the opportunity to own projects and project outcomes from start to finish
  • Attract high caliber potential full-time employees to Forefront from the intern class

The length of the internship is typically a full school year, with start and ending dates to be determined prior to the beginning of the internship by the department head and the intern. Semester-long internships are also offered on a case-by-case basis. We offer established standard pay rates for interns.

+ Graphic Design Intern

Reporting to Creative Director, this is a unique opportunity to receive project-based work that requires strategy, teamwork, ingenuity, and creativity, as well as tactical responsibilities that expose the intern first-hand to the experiences of a full-time Graphic Design professional. The intern will gain experience in graphic design for the slate of diverse events we produce.

  • Assist departments in generating concept mock-ups, problem solving and design of various marketing and sales materials
  • Assist in the creation of email blasts, social media assets, website updates and design, marketing assets, illustrated event maps and more
  • Work on all aspects of advertising including visual concepting, digital and print ads, print production
  • Edit photos to align with brand standards and assist with the implementation of a digital asset management tool
  • Work with established Branding Style Guides and assist in creating from-scratch visuals to illustrate on-brand marketing goals.

Must Haves:

  • Must be available to work at least 12 hours in our South Austin office every week.
  • Strong typography and conceptual skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with people of all levels and in a team environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Be prepared to present and defend your work effectively
  • We are fast paced. Must be able to quickly determine solutions, make sound judgments and carry out actions in an effective manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple projects and prioritize work without missing critical deadlines
  • Strong knowledge Adobe CS 6 (Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign) on Mac Platform with min. 1-2 years experience

  • Creating original content for a variety of our events’ social platforms
  • Posting social updates from live events
  • Assisting in the creation of email campaign content for various events

  • Researching latest digital trends and apps
  • Participating in team brainstorm sessions

Contractors

Due to the nature of event production, Forefront Networks is consistently seeking contract labor in Austin, Texas and Napa Valley, California. Primary needs are site operations and hospitality staff.

Contract staff can expect:

+ Site Operations Staff

Forefront is always looking for dedicated and experienced live event production crew members.The ideal candidate enjoys working outdoors and has experience related to live event production (or a keen desire to learn and develop in the field), event operations, corporate event production or audio production. This is a seasonal, part-time role and we have varying hours available to accommodate different schedules.

Our busiest months are September, November and December. Hours can vary from late nights to early mornings and will occur on weekends based on event schedules. Requirements include:

  • 1+ years of related experience
  • Ability to learn new skills
  • Ability to handle physical demands of assigned job functions
  • Willingness to keep equipment organized and handled with care

Education

  • Forklift Certification is a plus
