In 2017 and 2018, Forefront owned wraparound production, marketing and sponsorships for the Austin Ice Cream Festival, a beloved Austin tradition that has been running for over a decade. Every year, the Austin Ice Cream Festival draws thousands of Austin families and friends to Fiesta Gardens to eat delicious food, play games, participate in contests, listen to live music, interact with performers and... eat more than 1.5 TONS of ice cream each year!!
Our team reimagined the event, elevating the historical vibe to an event that Austinites have now grown to celebrate. We created a new vendor and sponsor program, consumer VIP program, and semi-private corporate outing packages. By splitting the festival into separate Daytime and After Dark events with custom programming for different audiences, we grew attendance to 10,000 people. Our team's meticulous eye for design and epic experiences, allowed us to create a boastful entertainment lineup, high production value and the launch of a new face of the festival through updated branding.
Promotional marketing efforts generated over 645 million media impressions through traditional, non-traditional outlets and a pop-up happy hour at the iconic Austin Motel.
